Forgive me readers, for I have, um, erred. It has been over a month and a half since my last posting. My projects have been keeping me busy, busy, busy. The month of August and the first part of September have gone by in a blink of an eye.

And, believe you me, a lot can happen in a month. The iPhone price could drop. Apple could offer an Apple store credit to placate the early adopters. ColdFusion 8 could have it’s first cumulative hotfix issued. CFUnited could announce they are hosting a CFUnited Express Bay Area. The newest CFWACK for ColdFusion 8 could be published, and (almost) shipped. (Amazon has moved the ship date for the first of th three volumes twice. Hopefully the date won’t change anymore.) There could be 5 seconds of mourning for the ColdFusion Developers Journal (CFDJ), which Sys-Con has decided to End-Of-Life and turn into a Microsoft SilverLight publication. I let you read the blog articles to get the general feeling the community has for this.

The list goes on, but obviously I can’t keep up. I’ll throw three hail marys and try to write again in the morning.

A little funky, but easier than editing on the Apple iPhone. The CS3 package is surpisingly agile. It’s quiker than the Studio MX package that was on my mac, and on par with the verions that’s installed on the work laptop. I have yet to find any showstopping flaws (on either platform), though I have yet to fire up the Bridge. Not sure if I ever will. I can browse with the built in preview browser in PhotoShop CS3 if I need to. I guess I’ll need to add the visual quickstart from PeachPit and the video training from Lynda or Total Training to my wish lists.

I, like many others (hence the sheep reference in the title), have purchased an iPhone and am attempting my first blog posting using the touch screen to type in my entry. It’s a little more difficult than I thought it would be, though it is pretty dang cool. It may take awhile to get the hang of this with my large-ish thumbs. It was fairly easy to log into wordpress to create this posting, but the actual act of typing may take some getting used to, so you may see shorter entries from the road/iPhone.

Here it is, the Friday after a mid-week holiday. For some reason it feels like a Tuesday. I did the gym this morning (two days in a row for me, yay) and i’m feeling the need for a nap, and it’s not even 9am. When did I get so old? I suppose it could be worse and tomorrow could actually be Wednesday. I’ll refrain from going to the gym tomorrow and do a three mile walk. Maybe I’ll even take the nap I’m daydreaming about. Or maybe I’ll just work so I can feel caught up for about an hour on Monday.
