Forgive me readers, for I have, um, erred. It has been over a month and a half since my last posting. My projects have been keeping me busy, busy, busy. The month of August and the first part of September have gone by in a blink of an eye.

And, believe you me, a lot can happen in a month. The iPhone price could drop. Apple could offer an Apple store credit to placate the early adopters. ColdFusion 8 could have it’s first cumulative hotfix issued. CFUnited could announce they are hosting a CFUnited Express Bay Area. The newest CFWACK for ColdFusion 8 could be published, and (almost) shipped. (Amazon has moved the ship date for the first of th three volumes twice. Hopefully the date won’t change anymore.) There could be 5 seconds of mourning for the ColdFusion Developers Journal (CFDJ), which Sys-Con has decided to End-Of-Life and turn into a Microsoft SilverLight publication. I let you read the blog articles to get the general feeling the community has for this.

The list goes on, but obviously I can’t keep up. I’ll throw three hail marys and try to write again in the morning.

Ray Candem (ColdFusion Jedi) has posted the source for RIAForge on his blog. I’m not sure when Ray finds the time to sleep. He is certainly prolific in his output. He’s written a variety of applications that have seen wide use in the community — everything from BlogCFC (the defacto ColdFusion blog code) to Soundings (survey code) and beyond. He hosts coding contests for developers of all experience levels, answers questions and seems to like LOST and Battlestar Galactica. If you get the chance, read his blog.
